When you're feeling totally unqualified and so weird that God couldn't possibly have a plan for you
Jun 27, 2022Okay listen...
The Bible is full of mistakes. Because these people are CRAyyyyZY.
They did some really bananas stuff.
There's every plot to a R rated movie hanging out in there. Moses killed someone for pete's sake! And I bet you heard about him before you knew much about anything else in the book.
So the Bible is full of tons of mistakes because it shares stories of people's lives who are so incredibly normal. Average. Messed up. And definitely didn't have it all together.
That's good news for you and me!
God uses the imperfect and ordinary - and calls us into unordinary lives and purposes for His good.
My local church did a series called UnOrdinary which I really enjoyed.
I think you'll learn a lot, feel empowered, and enjoy...
Week 1: Abraham
To kick off the first week of our new series, UnOrdinary, we will be starting with a man named Abraham. Pastor Erik will be talking about how everyone wants to be successful, but few reach it. Get your note's ready, because you will be taught how to truly live not just a successful life, but a significant life from the Story of Abraham.
Week 2: Elisha
In the second installment of UnOrdinary we will hear about what it means to be Unordinary. UnOrdinary means following God audaciously; but what does this look like? Isn't being audacious a bad thing? How could you possibly live audaciously? Find out in this message how to live an UnOrdinary life through Jesus.
Week 3: Thomas
Are you struggling with doubt? Do you ever question God? Do you wonder if it's normal to have these doubts? In this message we will hear about Thomas and doubt in a way you have likely never heard before.
Week 4: John the Baptist
Do you ever feel worthless? Have you ever felt like you weren't enough? In this message we will talk about your identity, and how John the Baptist was secure in his. Get ready for how you view yourself, to change.
Week 5: The Apostle Paul
special guest speaker, Pastor Stephen Martin [this one has no description but is a don't miss!]
You may feel ordinary. But that doesn't mean you are meant for ordinary things.
